Overview:-

Ghorepani is located at an altitude of 2810m. It is famous for its beautiful sunrise and its unique ethnic, cultural, religious, and natural beauty. Poon Hill is near Ghorepani, from where you can enjoy stunning views of numerous mountains and lush dense forests of rhododendrons. Ghandruk is a highly visited village due to its distinct cultural values, norms, and unquestionable natural beauty. Ghandruk is one of the most popular destinations for both domestic and foreign tourists.

Ghorepani Poon Hill:

Poon Hill is situated at an altitude of 3210m above sea level, offering incredible natural and cultural splendor. The forests are adorned with various types of rhododendrons, creating a beautifully decorated garden-like atmosphere. In Ghorepani, the majority of the residents are Magars, who hold steadfast to their traditional culture and religion From Poon Hill, you have a breathtaking panorama of mountains, including Annapurna, Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhare. Interestingly, the name Ghorepani derives from ancient traders, where ‘Ghori’ means horse and ‘Pani’ means water, signifying this place as a water source for horses that traders discovered, leading to its name — Ghorepani.

Ghandruk Village:

Ghandruk is one of the most beautiful places in our country, attracting both domestic and foreign tourists. It is primarily inhabited by Gurungs, who have their own unique culture and language. They proudly wear their ethnic dress and showcase it beautifully. The village offers thrilling views of nature and stunning mountains like Machhapuchhare and Annapurna. Most of the local people are engaged in homestays and agriculture. Travelers have the opportunity to observe local activities. The local people are helpful and friendly by nature. They use their own language, and most of them follow Buddhism and Hinduism, but their main festival is Losar, which marks the new year

Day 1: Arrived in Kathmandu Our beautiful country extends a warm welcome to you as you arrive in Kathmandu. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and exit from the terminal, our staff will be waiting for you. They will take you to the hotel and assist you with check-in.

Day 2: Sightseeing and Preparation for the Trek
Today is your rest day. On this day, prepare yourself for the trek. The guide will verify your readiness for the trek and the necessary gear. If you do not have enough gear, you can buy it anywhere in Thamel City. You can also enjoy sightseeing in Kathmandu, which is renowned as the ‘City of Temples’ with numerous Hinduism and Buddhism temples.

Day 3: Trip to Ulleri via Pokhara:

Wake up early, have your morning breakfast at the hotel, and then take a taxi from the hotel to the bus station. Board a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, take a jeep to Ulleri, which is a 2-hour journey by jeep followed by a 2-hour walk to reach Ulleri.

Day 4: Ulleri to Ghorepani, 3–4 hours:

Start your day with breakfast at 7 a.m. sharp, then begin your trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. This is a moderate trek with varying terrain, including both uphill and downhill sections. You’ll encounter different landscapes conveniently located for refreshments. By following the path, you will reach Ghorepani.

Day 5:- Ghorepani to Ghandruk:

Wake up and start walking at 4 am to see the sunrise from Poon Hill, which lies nearby Ghorepani. From there, you can see the best sunrise. You will have breakfast before heading to today’s destination, Ghandruk. As you leave the village, you will ascend uphill for about an hour, and then you will descend to find an easier path that leads you to Ghandruk.

Day 6:- Ghandruk to Kathmandu via Pokhara:

Take a healthy local breakfast in Ghandruk and leave the village at 8 a.m. by a local bus from Ghandruk bus station to Pokhara. It will take approximately 3–4 hours to reach Pokhara. Then, take a tourist bus to Kathmandu, which will take about 5–6 hours. Our guide will then drop you off at the hotel.
